After School Philly East of Broad
After School Philly provides after-school pick-up and a variety of activities ranging from hip hop dance, martial arts, acrobatics, music, and arts and crafts. Pick up will be offered for families attending McCall, Meredith, St. Peters, and Nebinger schools.

Hip Hop Dance

Established in 2015, MoveMakers presents dance education in an innovative way, prioritizing development of character and community at its core. MoveMakers is invested in growing capable and resourceful individuals via a practice that focuses on discipline, respect, compassion, good listening, creativity, team spirit, leadership and personal accountability. The school also emphasizes cultural appreciation and understanding through its celebration and study of Black American resourcefulness, ingenuity and creativity. For certain, our students hold it down on the dance floor, demonstrating virtuosic command of the dance form. More importantly, they are leaders in their community.
What is a typical day at After School Philly?
A typical day at After School Philly consists of safety, structure, and high-energy fun! Each day we provide aftercare from 3 pm - 6 pm. Once students arrive at the facility with our team of counselors, we provide all students with a healthy snack. Kids then have structured homework time with help available from counselors. Next, they begin their martial arts and dance classes. Depending on the day, when class is over, kids have opportunity to play board games, create art & crafts, continue homework, and socialize.
